Have you ever wanted to learn a new craft but weren’t sure how to get started? Join us this fall at the Butte-Silver Bow Public Library as we introduce Crafternoons to our creative club lineup. No crafting experience necessary. The goal of Crafternoons is to encourage creative thinking, increase brain plasticity, and build social connections while teaching new skills.
Free classes will be held the second Wednesday of every month from 1:00 to 3:00 in the 3rd floor kitchen. Crafternoons will teach various crafting skills to adults, focusing on papercrafts, textile crafts, and more throughout the year.
Fall classes will focus on book- and paper-related crafts building on collage, decoupage, and bookmaking skills. The first Crafternoons class will be held Wednesday, September 9, at 1:00 at Library, in the third-floor kitchen. Participants will learn basic collage techniques and create their own collage art. All materials will be provided, including paper, glue, and scissors, although class participants may bring their own magazines, stamps, or ephemera to share.
