The Butte-Silver Bow Public Library Board of Trustees supervises the affairs and management of our public libraries.
Regular meetings are held on the third Wednesdays of the month at 226 W. Broadway, beginning at 5:15pm unless otherwise noticed. Meeting agendas are posted at least 48 hours in advance, both in the library and online. Public is welcome and encouraged to attend! The Board holds governing authority over budgeting, hiring staff, setting compensation, construction/lease of library buildings, and of the operation and care of the library, per state law (MT Code Annotated Title 22.1.3).

The Butte-Silver Bow Public Library Foundation serves to secure financial and in-kind donations for programs, services, collections, and capital projects in support of the library and its mission. It is a 501c3 non-profit organization and meets quarterly.
